Fahrenheit
and Celsius
Fahrenheit and Celsius, side by side. For anyone who thinks in one scale and lives with the other.
Download on the App StoreThe analog Moonphase display borrows its look from a mechanical watch. There’s a photographic view, too. Both come with Plus.
Put both temperatures on your Home Screen or Lock Screen. Larger widgets include hourly and daily forecasts, so you can check the day without opening the app.
Both scales on Apple Watch
Check Fahrenheit and Celsius on your watch face, or open the app for hourly and daily forecasts. Moonphase is there too, with Plus.
Requires watchOS 26 or later. Moonphase and its watch face complication require Plus.
Weather data from Apple Weather and Open-Meteo.

FAQ
Why show both scales at the same time?
You shouldn’t have to convert the weather in your head. Both scales are always shown; you choose which one is bigger.
Is the app free?
The forecast, both temperature scales, and the main weather widget are free, with no ads. Plus adds analog and realistic Moonphase, more widgets, longer forecasts, and detailed air quality. Choose Lifetime Access or a monthly or annual subscription. The App Store shows your local price before you buy.
Where does the data come from?
Open-Meteo provides forecasts and air quality. Apple Weather supplies severe weather alerts, minute-by-minute rain, and backup forecasts. Lightning data comes from NOAA’s GOES satellites.
When does the Lightning card show up?
The Lightning section appears when a strike is detected within 50 km of the selected city during the last 30 minutes. Tap the section to open the map. Coverage includes the Americas and adjacent oceans, not mainland France.
Does it work outside the United States?
Yes. Forecasts and air quality work worldwide. Severe alerts and minute-by-minute rain depend on Apple’s coverage. Lightning detection covers the Americas and nearby oceans.
What languages does the app support?
English, Spanish, German, French (France and Canada), Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Greek, Russian, and Ukrainian. Choose your language in Settings.
Where are the settings?
Tap the three-line button at the top left of the weather screen. Pick which scale appears larger, change your units, or choose analog or realistic Moonphase imagery.
Weather or widgets not updating?
Pull down on the weather screen to refresh. For location problems, check iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services. If a widget stays stuck, remove it and add it again.
I downloaded Both Scales before Plus. Do I need to pay for it?
Not if you downloaded it between June 28 and September 18, 2026. Those downloads include Plus permanently, whether the app was paid at the time or already free. Downloads from before June 28 stay on the Free plan. If Plus does not appear, update to the latest version, then open Settings → Both Scales Plus and tap Restore Purchases, or email support.
Is there an Android app?
No. Both Scales is for iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch.
